Anonymous:john lennon syndrome?

neptunain:

john lennon syndrome is when a dumbass thinks they’re concerned about peace and social issues and believe they are in touch with nature when in reality they just say the n word, smoke weed, throw a bunch of hindu and buddhist imagery together and call it “inner peace,” and don’t shower. you probably know a lot of these people

i hate when people call their grandparents weird names instead of grandma and grandpa like babooshka or salami

i’m telling grandpa salami that you were talking shit

this is some white nonsense

y’all know that different languages exist right

"weird names for grandparents, like babooshka"

so, like, literally, the russian word for “grandmother”

Yeah don’t talk down on people who give their grandparents a nickname. I had 7 sets of grandparents at one time and it would have been very helpful to have a cute nickname during family get togethers.

Also, my cousin DID call my maternal grandmother “Bubba” for years, until a neighbor scolded her for calling her grandmother “Bubba”. Well, guess what? They stopped calling her anything other than grandma, and Bubba was heartbroken, she thought it was great she had a nickname. So stfu because chances are the nicknames are dumb but it makes them feel special and loved.

Why would anyone give a single shit if someone has a special word for their grandparents? Often it’s rooted in tradition and ethnicity, anyway.
